Misunderstood Whiskey started by two best friends from Montclair, NJ with a dream to craft whiskeys that could be enjoyed by just about everyone!
Whiskey made with real ginger
Our whiskey is a blend of mostly bourbon with a slight touch of American whiskey, aged in American oak barrels, and proudly blended & bottled at 80 proof in Kentucky.
Our ginger balances perfectly with the subtle sweetness of our high midwestern corn mash bill, making Misunderstood approachable for rookies, yet complex enough for connoisseurs. Misunderstood Whiskey is both gluten free & vegan! With a refreshingly smooth ginger finish, Misunderstood can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in your favorite cocktail. Try something different - don't be shy!
Tasting notes
Nose: vanilla, ginger, mandarin orange, honeysuckle
Taste: toasted oak, silky caramel, gingerbread, vanilla
Finish: butterscotch, baking spice, baby ginger, long finish

Try a delicious Ginger Peach Tea!
1 part Misunderstood Ginger Spiced Whiskey
3 parts sweet peach tea (Snapple works great)
Lemon and/or mint garnish
Directions: Combine all ingredients in glass with ice. Stir briefly until chilled. Garnish with fresh mint and/or lemon wheel. Enjoy!
